Data Products

The POES collect global data on cloud cover; surface conditions such as ice, snow, and vegetation; atmospheric temperatures; and moisture, aerosol, and ozone distributions; and collect and relay information from fixed and moving data platforms. The instruments carried by POES measure energy levels in specific wavelengths, which are telemetered to the ground and input into complex software that generate the products.

eumetsat
The Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT)
delivers weather and climate-related satellite data, images and products - 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
OSEI
NOAA Operational Significant Event Imagery
produces high-resolution, detailed imagery of significant environmental events which are visible in remotely-sensed data.
NOAA NWS Climate Prediction Center
National Weather Service Climate Prediction Center
deliver climate prediction, monitoring, and diagnostic products for timescales from weeks to years to the Nation and the global community for the protection of life and property and the enhancement of the economy.
NOAA NESDIS OSDPD
Office of Satellite Data Processing and Distribution (OSDPD)
manages and directs the operation of the central ground facilities which ingest, process, and distribute environmental satellite data and derived products to domestic and foreign users.
